You won’t find pizza bites in Kourtney Kardashian’s freezer. The mom of three has been keeping a gluten- and dairy-free household since last spring.

And while it’s been an adjustment, the reality star, who shares Mason, 6, Penelope, 4, and Reign, 20, months, with ex Scott Disick, has no plans to switch up their diet anytime. “I have noticed a great positive change in behavior with my children,” the 37-year-old wrote Monday, September 12, in a post on her app. Kardashian added that her family had muscle testing done, which showed they all have sensitivities to corn, gluten and dairy.

“Of course, we pick our battles and I do let the kids have popcorn at the movies and a churro at Disneyland, etc.,” the reality star explained. “But for birthday parties, which can sometimes be every weekend, I bring extra gluten and dairy-free cupcakes … and they are happy with that.”

Kardashian’s easiest meal of the day is breakfast, which usually includes waffles made from a mix without gluten or dairy, paired with scrambled eggs or cereal. For milk, the eldest Kardashian sister recommends homemade almond, organic coconut or organic rice.

“For lunch, we usually have carrots and celery with hummus and a gluten-free rice tortilla with sliced turkey meat or turkey dogs — no bun,” Kardashian wrote. “Penelope and I love salads, so we usually eat a big yummy one for lunch.”

Dinner usually features rice or gluten-free pasta, steamed vegetables and a protein such as chicken, turkey or fish.

The most important thing is finding the right balance. “When we were just in Italy, we all had pizza one night. But for the rest of the trip, I found that almost every restaurant had gluten-freepastas and gluten-free bread,” Kardashian shared. “We also had ice cream one evening, but almost every other night, we had lemon sorbet for dessert.”
