Who could it be? Jessica Alba revealed during The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that she once got a tattoo following a breakup with a well-known star. Watch her intriguing story in the clip above!
“You have a lovely tattoo on your wrist. What is that? I’m sorry, I just saw that and it caught my eye,” host Colbert, 52, asked on Thursday, September 8.
“Yes, you did. Didn’t you?” Alba, 35, replied. She added, laughing: “That was called ‘My First Breakup.'”
Alba refused to reveal the mystery man, only calling him “this guy.” However, she did explain what her ink means. “It’s lotus in Sanskrit. It means the manifestation of spiritual beauty,” she said. “He was really anti-tattoos, and I felt like after I broke up with him, I found myself again. It’s unnecessary to talk about this. He’s like a famous actor.”
Last month, Alba confessed that she regrets getting some of her tats. “You’re never going to be in the same place emotionally and mentally at 18 that you are at 20 or 25 or 30. Something that’s meaningful to you when you’re younger is not going to be meaningful to you five years later,” she said in the September issue of Allure. “I have a few tattoos. I’m not into them now the way that I was.”
Although Alba kept mum on Thursday, she notably dated NCIS alum Michael Weatherly in the past. The pair met on set of the actress’ TV series Dark Angel (2000–2002) and got engaged in 2001. They called it quits two years later in 2003.
The exes have both moved on since the split. The Honest Company cofounder and her husband, Cash Warren, are parents of daughters Honor, 8, and Haven, 5. Weatherly is dad to Olivia, 4, and Liam, 2, with his wife, Bojana Jankovic.
