She's baaack! Nicki Minaj released a braggadocios new song titled "The Pinkprint Freestyle" on SoundCloud on Sunday, September 4 — and Twitter users completely freaked out.
Returning to her rap roots, Minaj, 33, reminded listeners that she owns the crown on the six-minute track, which is spun over Young M.A's recent hit "OOOUUU."
"Young M.A, it's the female Jay," she raps. "I'm a brand, according to what retail say / Yeah, my tour she selling out on pre-sale day / Plus I got the Tidal queen stream, press replay."
Throughout the freestyle, the "Truffle Butter" rapper gives shoutouts to fellow MCs including Lil Wayne, Foxy Brown and her boyfriend, Meek Mill.
"Testify for my n—a to the D.A.'s face," Minaj raps, in reference to her appearance at Mill's December 2015 probation hearing.
The wildest shoutout, however, goes out to Harambe, the gorilla who was killed at the Cincinnati Zoo earlier this year in order to save a child who fell into the animal's enclosure. "I'm dragging these hoes likes Harambe did the kid," Minaj quips.
At the end of the tune, the Trinidad native spits a few lines from the chorus of M.I.A.'s 2007 single "Paper Planes" over a dancehall beat.
