‘American Horror Story: My Roanoke Nightmare’ Trailer Is Finally Here and It’s Terrifying

While fans speculated whether each episode would revolve around a different nightmare, the terrifying trailer revealed that the rest of the season will continue the same narrative in docuseries style. And things only get worse for Matt (played by Andre Holland in the documentary and Cuba Gooding Jr. in the dramatization) and wife Shelby (played by Lily Rabe in the “real” interviews and Sarah Paulson in the reenactment) after their move to a rural North Carolina farmhouse.

“This place is mine. I protect this place. I shall stop at nothing to hold safe this colony,” warns Kathy Bates’ character, who seems to be a ghost pilgrim from the Lost Colony of 1587 in the clip.

The trailer teases a few additional scenes to come, including Denis O’Hare’s character with an ax and Shelby witnessing human sacrifice.

However, don’t expect Matt and Shelby to go down without a fight. “If it was a fight they wanted, it was a fight they were going to get,” Rabe says.

The only thing missing from the creepy trailer was season 5 star Lady Gaga, whose role in season 6 has been kept under wraps.
