Yaaas, queen! In true Mariah Carey form, the diva casually lounges at home in a bedazzled black bustier in a new promo for her upcoming eight-part docuseries, Mariah’s World.
“Is this a normal outfit for people to wear?” Carey asks in the clip above as she lies sprawled across a chair, showing off her glittering, skin-baring ensemble. “I don’t know. But I’m at home, and this is what I wear!”
The 30-second sneak peek, which was released Wednesday, September 14, gives fans an inside look at the superstar’s ultra-luxe life full of private jets, lavish parties and showstopping performances.
“I don’t know what other people think about me, and they don’t know my story. They don’t know my life. …” the pop icon says in a voice-over. “There is no typical day in Mimi’s life.”
Also heavily featured in the sneak peek? The dazzling diamond the Grammy winner wears on her ring finger, given to her by fiancé James Packer. “Mariah, can we see the ring?” an off-screen voice is heard saying as the “Fantasy” singer flashes the 35-carat stunner designed by Wilfredo Rosado for photographers.
As previously reported, billionaire businessman Packer, 49, presented Carey with the sizable rock when he asked for her hand in marriage back in January. The planning of the couple’s pending nuptials will be featured on the E! reality show.
“[Packer’s] part of the series,” Carey — who separated from estranged husband Nick Cannon in 2015 — told reporters at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in August. “He’s a businessman, and that’s, like, his world, and I don’t try to permeate that situation. So I think he’s been very cool in allowing some moments.”
