Junior Cox-Noon isn’t just an internet celebrity. The 9-week-old Brighton, England–based baby gets mobbed in public too for his towering bouffant hairdo. His pics went viral after his mom, Chelsea Noon, shared them with The Mirror, which published them Monday, October 3.
“Usually it takes me about 40 minutes to do my weekly [grocery] shop … and now it takes me two hours,” Noon told the British paper. “Everyone stops and says: ‘Oh, my God, look at the baby’s hair, and then the next person will say, ‘He’s got so much hair.’”
And though Junior’s mane just keeps getting bigger, Noon said she has no plans to take her little one for a trim. “I definitely don’t want to cut it,” she told The Mirror. “I want to see how long it actually does grow out. I don’t know where his hair has come from. It’s like a big ball of candy floss.”
The tot’s siblings — Mitchell, 4, and Preston, 6 — can’t get enough of their well-coiffed little brother. “My youngest is always running up to Junior saying, ‘I want to pinch his fat cheeks,’” Noon, 32, said. “We call him ‘Baby Bear’ because he looks a little bit like a bear but when he’s angry he also looks like a little gremlin.”
Junior isn’t the first baby to go viral for his impressive mane. Isabelle Kaplan soared to stardom in March after a relative posted her photo on Reddit with the caption: “My baby cousin has hair that looks like a news anchorman.”
