The nostalgia-filled event won’t last long. The diners will be open only for the one day in honor of the 16th anniversary of the series’ premiere, and free coffee will be served only from 7 a.m. to noon. Some of the pop-up locations include New York’s Ground Central Coffee and The Bean, Beverly Hills’ Comoncy, and Infuse Cafe in Toronto. For locations in states such as Hawaii, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas, visit the website.

Scott Patterson played the ruggedly handsome Luke on the beloved show for seven seasons, from 2000 to 2007. In August, he opened up about Netflix’s upcoming revival when he dropped by Us Weekly’s NYC headquarters. Patterson and his costars all reunited for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, which is comprised of four 90-minute episodes.

“[Luke’s] the kind of a guy who I don’t know if we see enough of anymore on television or in real life,” Patterson told Us. “He’s the kind of guy where he’s going to be there for his loved one. He’s got everybody’s back. He’s loyal and he doesn’t want anything in return except maybe a little bit of respect or love back. He’s that strong-and-silent guy. That, to me, is very appealing to play.”

Getting back into character wasn’t easy, though. “I put the hat on and I put the shoes on, the clothes and everything, and when I got on set to film the first scene that we were doing, just rehearse the first scene we were going to be doing in the diner, I didn’t feel like Luke,” he added. “So I just stopped the whole thing and I went to [cocreator Amy Sherman-Palladino] and I said, ‘Let me take a walk around Stars Hollow or the set and try to get the whole feeling and scent back.'” (Spoiler: He did!)

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life premieres on Netflix on Friday, November 25.
