Is a second couple on the path to divorce? Married at First Sight's Nick Pendergrast and Sonia Granados appear to have reached the end in the Tuesday, September 20, episode, as seen in Us Weekly's exclusive sneak peek.
The FYI unscripted series' preview clip shows the newlyweds having an explosive argument after Pendergrast, 32 tells his wife, "I should have more feelings than I do." Things take a turn for the worse when he bristles at her telling him to open up.
After he gets up to go into another room, a show producer stops him and says that relationships take work. "You got to be attracted to the person to have that relationship — that's all I'm saying," Pendergrast viciously fires back in front on Granados, 33.
The vacation rental manager then tells the camera about his frustrations: "You tell me what you want me to open up about! I don't like her. That's opening up — I can't open up any more than that. I don't think she's attractive, and I'm not attracted to her, and that is me opening up to the fullest f–king extent."
The end of the footage shows Granados packing up her suitcases and leaving their home. "I don't know who the Nick in the honeymoon [was], and who this Nick is — it's just two totally different people," the social worker says to the camera.
The pair are not the first season 4 couple to have serious issues. Heather Seidel and Derek Schwartz opted to get a divorce in last week's episode, marking the first time that a couple has split before completing the six-week experiment.
