Party time! The ladies of the OC attended not one but two parties during the Monday, October 3, episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Vicki Gunvalson and Shannon Beador had a confrontation at the first one, but Shannon was sweet as could be by the second. Did that have anything to do with Vicki threatening to spill a big secret of Shannon’s? Read on for more.
Burning Questions
Meghan King Edmonds threw a party to launch her candle store, and went ahead and invited both Vicki and Shannon, who were beefing just a little — OK, a lot — since Vicki ended up in the hospital after the dune buggy accident. Shannon hadn’t gone to see her but had left a voice mail. Vicki was mad about the voice mail, and Shannon was mad Vicki never responded. Typical OC stuff.
After being goaded by Tamra Judge and Meghan, Shannon confronted Vicki. It surprised Us that Meghan was so willing to turn her party into the setting of a huge fight, but Vicki didn’t take the bait. She told Shannon she didn’t want to talk about their issues at the party. Shannon was not content to move on and kept attacking until Vicki told the camera that she had a secret she would reveal about Shannon’s lies if she kept bothering her. …
Tamra asked Shannon which lie Vicki knew about, but Shannon swore there was no big secret. OK, Shannon, sure!
Happiness Is the Journey, Not the Destination, Ladies!
Following her inability to stop crying over her crumbling marriage last episode, Kelly Dodd sat down with her husband for a long talk about their relationship as Tamra and Vicki shopped for clothes to wear to Heather Dubrow’s upcoming book-launch party. (The Housewives clearly take turns throwing parties just for each other to fight at.)
Kelly and Michael Dodd spoke at length about how they could move forward positively. Meghan and her husband, too, were trying to move in a happier direction. Meghan had been depressed since finding out only one of her fertilized eggs had implanted during the in-vitro process. She disclosed that she was on medication and was worried that she was too unhappy for a pregnant person, even one with depression.
Speaking of diagnoses, Vicki filmed her commercial for her latest charity initiative, Kill All Cancer, and stumbled her way through the beginning before totally knocking it out of the park at the end. Go, Vicki!
An Open Book (Party)
At the launch party for their book, Heather and Terry Dubrow got to meet the man Vicki had been dating, Steve Lodge. All of the ladies grilled the former police officer about his relationship with their friend, but eventually he got the RHOC seal of approval!
Shannon’s behavior didn’t get Vicki’s seal of approval, though. She wandered over to Vicki and Tamra at the party, trying to “prove” how friendly she could be with Vicki. The OG deemed it fake, and Tamra wondered if Shannon was trying to get out ahead of whatever lie Vicki claimed to have on her. Even Heather called it “odd” to see Shannon trying so hard to be nice to Vicki.
Meghan used the rare moment of Shannon and Vicki getting along to ask if the Housewives wanted to go on a trip to Ireland with her so she could discover her ancestry before the baby was born. (For the millionth time, the producers simply do not get the credit they deserve for these story lines.)
Vicki didn’t get to spill her big secret before the episode ended because Michael got pretty drunk, and Kelly had to go do damage control, which caused a scene.
