There’s no bad blood here! Ben Affleck revealed in a new interview that his daughters, Violet and Seraphina, were starstruck when they met Taylor Swift last year.
“I introduced my two girls to Taylor Swift,” the Accountant actor, 44, told Entertainment Tonight Friday, September 30. “It was like God came down and walked on water. They didn’t say a thing. They were totally frozen.”
Violet, now 10, and Seraphina, now 7, met the “Shake It Off” singer, 26, after her 1989 world tour concert in Los Angeles in August 2015, two months after Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced they were separating. (The amicable former couple also share son Samuel, 4.)
Last month, Affleck and Garner, 44, stepped out for a friendly dinner date together at Sam’s by the Beach in L.A. Days later, the Golden Globe winner said she and her estranged husband are trying to set a good example for their kids.
“I don’t think empathy is something you can drill in someone’s head,” Garner said on the Today show. “You have to have faith that while your kids can seem to be selfish and concerned only about the word ‘mine’ sometimes, overall, they are watching you really carefully, and if you care about other people, they will too.”
Neither Affleck nor Garner (who still live together in their compound in L.A.’s Brentwood nabe) have formally filed for divorce, though a source told Us earlier this year that they still cherish their 10-year marriage.
“Jen mentioned that the divorce was going through very soon, and then a few weeks ago, things changed,” a source close to the actress said in July. “It does not seem to be moving in that direction. Jen seems to still be in love with Ben but doesn’t allow her mind to go there. She just focuses on the kids.”
