He can’t even! Ellen DeGeneres sent her executive producer Andy Lassner to a haunted house for a hilarious Halloween segment set to air on Thursday, October 27, and Lassner was having none of it. Watch the hilarious haunted journey in the clip above!
In the clip, Lassner, the self-proclaimed “village idiot,” and his assistant Jacqueline make their way into Universal Studios’ Horror Night Exorcist Maze, both looking a little reluctant as they enter the dark building.
“Look for the feet. Sometimes you can tell by the feet,” Lassner instructs Jacqueline as he tries to put on a brave face. “Just know it’s coming, and then it’s not scary.”
At that moment, a masked monster pops out at the pair, and after they both scream bloody murder, Lassner mutters to himself, “OK. Scary. Scary, and we’re good.”
As the duo make their way through the winding maze of a house, Lassner hilariously shoves his assistant in front of him as a human shield as he begins to panic. “You go first. I’m an executive producer.”
Jacqueline later laughs at him and replies, “You go first! Can you please be a man?” Other requisite creepy characters that they encounter while making their way through the maze: a priest, a possessed girl (“Stop! With the spraying in the mouth,” Lassner yells at the doll) and a zombie that pops out of a hidden coffin.
Lassner has been a regular victim of the talk show host’s Halloween shenanigans before; last year, he and Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet braved a different haunted house together at DeGeneres’ expense.
