Power playdates! Jennifer Lopez revealed that she and Chelsea Clinton are neighbors in New York City and that their kids have played together.
The pop superstar, 47, opened up about her friendship with Hillary Clinton’s 36-year-old daughter during a Tuesday, November 8, interview with 2day FM’s Rove and Sam.
The “On the Floor” singer explained that, in 2014, she moved next door to Chelsea and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, inside the Whitman, a luxury building in Manhattan’s Gramercy district. “Our kids have played together,” she said.
Lopez is mom of 8-year-old twins Emme and Max, who she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Chelsea is mom of Charlotte, 2, and Aidan, 4 months.
During her chat with 2day FM, the Shades of Blue actress also spoke out about her decision to publicly endorse and canvass for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Most recently, Lopez and her former hubby Anthony, 48, teamed up to perform at a Miami rally in support of HRC this past Saturday.
“Our country deserves a great leader, not someone who dabbles in politics. I want someone who knows what they’re doing,” she said ahead of the politician’s loss to Republican nominee Donald Trump. “We deserve that and she has tremendous experience and tremendous heart and it takes a lot to be in the public eye, I know that.”
The True Love author added: “As women we get bullied, we have to work just a tiny bit harder, we have to show we’re more qualified and I am with her. I do believe for this election she’s the right person for the job.”
Despite Trump’s shocking triumph over Hillary, J. Lo is hopeful about the future of the United States. “Know who you are and what you stand for and don’t let anybody or anything change that,” she wrote via Instagram Wednesday afternoon. “#Lovealwaysandallways #LOVE #lovemaketheworldgoround.”
