Married at First Sight’s Nick Faces Reality About Wife Sonia in Sneak Peek: ‘Our Marriage Might Be Over’

The FYI relationship series’ preview clip shows Pendergrast pointing out that although he and his wife spent the previous night in the same bed during their second honeymoon, they did not have sex. The pair have been attempting to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of a heated fight that led Granados to move out of their home.

“I don’t see her really wanting to move back in, so I don’t know if that’s going to happen or not,” Pendergrast tells the camera in the clip. “She’s not emotionally ready or feels like it’s worth it, or I don’t know what it means.”

“I feel like she should maybe be giving it a little more forward effort because, like, in a week we have to decide if we’re going to stay married,” the vacation-rental manager continues. “I’m scared because our marriage might be over.”

However, his worrying might be for naught, as Granados seems encouraged by their progress.

“It didn’t feel weird waking up next to him, which is cool, I guess,” she says to the camera. “It was an interesting night.”

“I’m sad that we’re leaving because I wish that we can stay here longer,” she continues about the couple’s getaway. “But I’m ready for this last week, and [we’ll] see what happens. You never know with this.”

Married at First Sight airs on FYI Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. ET.
