Adam Levine Talks First-Time Fatherhood, Baby Dusty Rose: ‘I Don’t Know Anything’

Moves like Jagger Dad. Adam Levine wasn’t necessarily prepared to become a father, but the new role has come naturally to him, the Maroon 5 frontman told Ryan Seacrest during an interview — his first since wife Behati Prinsloo gave birth to daughter Dusty Rose — on Thursday, October 13.

“I’ve been a parent for three weeks; what do I know? I don’t know anything, but it’s kind of part of the beauty of it, honestly,” the “Don’t Wanna Know” singer, 37, told the radio host. “There are a lot of instincts, a lot of things that kind of kick in and switch on. It’s a beautiful experience.”

Levine and Prinsloo, 27, welcomed Dusty Rose on September 21. The Victoria’s Secret model shared the first photo of their daughter just two days later on September 23.

“Words can’t describe 💗 Dusty Rose Levine 9/21/16,” the new mom captioned an adorable Instagram snap of little Dusty nestled against Levine’s tattooed chest.

“Everything went well, and the baby is beautiful,” a source previously told Us of their little girl. “They’re a very happy couple and excited to start their family. I can tell you they make very beautiful babies together.”

Although the Voice mentor claimed to Seacrest he doesn’t know anything about his new role, he’s always wanted to have kids.

“You’re born to be a parent, that’s what we’re here for, really,” he told Entertainment Tonight prior to Dusty’s arrival. “All the other s‑‑t is great, but it’s not what we’re here for.”
