Jessa Duggar: It’s ‘Been Difficult for Me’ to Have Jill Duggar Living in Central America

Rolling out the red carpet! The Duggar clan is pulling out all the stops to welcome Jill Duggar, husband Derick Dillard and their 18-month-old son, Israel, back to Arkansas on Counting On‘s Tuesday, October 18, episode, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.

The TLC unscripted series’ preview clip shows the Duggars preparing their abode for the celebration before heading out that night to pick up Jill, 25, and Derick, 27, who have been doing missionary work in El Salvador and haven’t been back to the States in almost a year.

“We’re so excited to have Jill and Derick back in town,” Josiah Duggar tells the camera. “Nobody wants to miss out on this, so we’re all going to the airport to welcome them.”

This is an especially emotional moment for Jill’s younger sister Jessa Duggar, given that both women welcomed their first kids around the same time but haven’t been able to share many of those special new-mom moments in person. (Jessa and husband Ben Seewald are the parents of 11-month-old Spurgeon, with another bundle of joy on the way.)

“We’re all really excited,” Jessa, 23, says to the camera of her sibling’s return. “For most everybody, it’s been nearly 10 months since they’ve got to hang out with them and see them in person.”

“Jill and I have had so much in common over these past three years,” she continues. “It’s been difficult for me not to have that connection with her, sister to sister — now mom to mom. So we’re looking forward to having them back.”

Watch the sentimental clip above. Counting On airs on TLC Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
