‘Today’ Show Throws Back to Biggest Pop Culture Moments for Halloween 2016

They did it again! The Today show threw back to some of the biggest pop culture moments in history for their always-much-anticipated Halloween costume reveal on Monday, October 31. Watch the best costume moments in the video above!

The colleagues joined together on Rockefeller plaza for the big surprise. Matt Lauer went as Jerry Seinfeld in his puffy shirt, Al Roker dressed as Family Matters‘ nerd in chief Steve Urkel and Tamron Hall and Willie Geist danced as Uma Thurman and John Travolta‘s characters Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega in the 1994 classic Pulp Fiction.

Carson Daly, meanwhile, slipped into two different outfits. He suited up in a leather jacket as the Terminator from 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day, famously portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, and revisited his own MTV TRL days.

“‘TRL’ is back — for Halloween! See @CarsonDaly channel the ’90s as MTV host,” the Today Twitter account wrote.

Kathie Lee Gifford poked fun of herself too. The TV personality went in male drag as her former cohost Regis Philbin. She wore a suit, short wig and fake eyebrows. Hoda Kotb stepped in to play Gifford, wearing a bright yellow blazer and a brown wig.

Last but not least, Savannah Guthrie kept her baby bump hidden — with another growing belly! She wore a cutout poster board of Demi Moore‘s famous 1991 Vanity Fair nude cover.

Even Today’s puppy, Charlie, got in on the fun. He wore a “Ty” tag to transform into a Beanie Baby.
