Kris Jenner canceled on an Art Basel Miami party in her honor, a rep for the event confirms to Us Weekly. The rep tells Us that Jenner, 61, was no longer coming to the event — a DuJour Magazine party celebrating her cover debut — as of Tuesday night.
A source tells Us that Jenner’s decision to forgo the bash is related in part to son-in-law Kanye West’s recent hospitalization. “It doesn’t look like she is going to make it due to what’s going on with Kanye,” the insider tells Us.
Though the momager will not be making an appearance, other notable names have RSVP’d, including Nick Cannon, Martha Stewart and Kardashian family friend Larsa Pippen. While Scott Disick was set to host the event alongside Jenner, it remains to be seen whether he will attend the party in the wake of Yeezy’s struggles.
As previously reported, West, 39, was admitted to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday, November 21, after he reportedly started behaving “erratically” while at his personal trainer’s home. The episode came shortly after West canceled the remainder of his Saint Pablo Tour following a 15-minute verbal tirade against Hillary Clinton and pals Jay Z and Beyonce at a show in Sacramento.
Since then, the “Famous” rapper’s wife, Kim Kardashian, has stuck by his side throughout the health scare as he continues to recover in the hospital.
“Kim wouldn’t leave his side except to see the kids,” a source previously told Us, referring to the couple’s children, North, 3, and Saint, 11 months. “She’s been at the hospital all the time. Kim has been keeping a very close watch on him and not letting people disturb him. All kinds of people have called and sent flowers, but she’s being very careful about not disturbing him and making sure he rests and recovers.”
