‘The Walking Dead’ Sneak Peek: Negan Pays a Surprise Visit to Rick in Alexandria

Guess who’s back? In a preview clip of the Sunday, November 13, episode of The Walking Dead, newcomer villain Negan pays a surprise visit to group leader Rick in Alexandria — proving once again that viewers can’t possibly know what to expect.

The season 7 premiere of the hit AMC series kicked off with the shocking — and violent — deaths of two major characters: Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn (Steven Yeun). Now that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) has proven just what a bad guy he is, his visit to Alexandria is far from a welcome one.

“Well, hello there,” the smug villain says to Rick (Andrew Lincoln) from the other side of the safe haven’s high gates. When Rick fails to immediately open the gates, Negan’s expression turns angry. “Do not make me have to ask.”

And with that, Rick reluctantly opens the gate just as a zombie stumbles into the scene. “Oh, Rick,” Negan says. “Come out here. Watch this.” He knocks the undead down with one swift swing of his barbed wire–laced baseball bat. “Easy peasy, lemon squeeze-y.”

The rest of the walkers huddle behind Rick with solemn expressions on their faces as Negan points his bat at them. “All right everyone. Let’s get started,” he says. “Big day.”
