Besties after breakup? Bella Hadid took to Instagram Thursday, December 1, to praise her ex-boyfriend The Weeknd after the former couple appeared together in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which was held in Paris Wednesday, November 30.
“I can’t believe it! 💘💘💘. I was smiling SO HUGE on the inside I promise!!!” the VS rookie, 20, captioned a photo of herself strutting her stuff down the runway as The Weeknd performed. “The most fun and nerve racking experience of my life but I wish I could do it over and over and over again!!!!!”
Hadid then went on to give a sweet shout-out to the “Starboy” crooner, 26. “Thank you @theweeknd for being the best and most incredible performer on the planet,” she added. “You KILLED it, as always 😍 ❤️.”
As showgoers witnessed, the model and The Weeknd (real name: Abel Tesfaye) joined forces on the glittered catwalk at the Grand Palais in Paris.
In videos posted on Twitter, the Grammy winner can be seen eyeing Hadid — who walked in the show for the first time this year — as she flaunted her enviable physique in silver lingerie.
The event marked the former pair’s first public appearance since they pulled the plug on their romance earlier this month after nearly two years of dating. At the time of their split, multiple insiders told Us Weekly that their hectic schedules were to blame for the end of their relationship.
“They still have a great deal of love and respect for each other and will remain friends, but it has been too hard to coordinate their schedules with him finishing and promoting his upcoming album,” a source close to the The Weeknd explained to Us. “They really tried to make it work.”
