For the New York premiere of the sixth — and final — season of Girls on HBO, the show’s Marnie hit the carpet in a gorgeous get-up that looked like a simple off-the-shoulder black gown from the back, while the front was split down the center to reveal white satin pants. The unique piece was by designer Gabriela Hearst. Williams softened the look with cascading waves and rose lipgloss.
There was nothing moody about the Peter Pan Live! star’s look at the 22nd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards on December 11. Her half-updo by pro Rebekah Forecast was finished with a dab of Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Styling Crème for extra shine and she rocked an early ‘80s-inspired makeup look with blue eyeshadow. Makeup artist Melanie Inglessis layered Chanel Stylo Fresh Effect Eye Shadow in Azulejo under shades in the brand’s Quadra Eye Shadow in Tissé Beverly Hills.
At the 2016 Met Gala, Williams wore a modern take on an Indian-inspired sari gown in a silvery pattern. But the real standout of the look was her intricate braided updo, done by hairstylist Rebekah Forecast. After prepping locks with amika Bombshell Blowout Spray and drying, Forecast fishtailed strands in a spiral formation working around Williams’ head, securing with pins as needed. She sealed the look with a spritz of amika Touchable Hairspray.
