It’s finger lickin’ good — even at the edge of space! Kentucky Fried Chicken, one of world’s most recognizable food chains, announced that it plans to send its new Zinger Chicken Sandwich on a four-day mission to the edge of space on June 21.

KFC is partnering with flight expert World View to blast off the chicken breast sandwich into space using a high altitude balloon known as a Stratollite.

“We’re excited to be the ones pushing spicy, crispy chicken sandwich space travel forward,” said Kevin Hochman, president of the restaurant chain. “But in all seriousness, we’re proud to support World View’s commitment to advancing space research and trust them to take our world famous Zinger sandwich to space.”

According to KFC, the sandwich will reach heights of around 80,000 feet, making the mission “the longest controlled stratospheric balloon flight with a commercial payload in history.”
