Jennifer Aniston has been having a low-key several months, but the 43-year old knows that everyone is wondering how she took a certain piece of news: her ex-husband Brad Pitt's long-awaited engagement to Angelina Jolie, announced nearly two weeks ago.
"She hates it being brought up because she doesn't really care," says a pal of the actress, who was married to Pitt, 48, from 2000 to 2005; Pitt infamously fell in love with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith costar Jolie, 36, while he was still married to Aniston. After seven years together, Pitt proposed to Jolie, with all six kids present, earlier this spring with a $500,000 diamond engagement ring he helped design with longtime jeweler Robert Procop; the family of eight recently celebrated the nuptial news with a trip to the Galapagos Islands.
"She feels Angelina can have him," the Aniston source continues. "She just wants to move on."
Indeed, since falling for her Wanderlust costar Justin Theroux, more than a year ago, that's pretty much what Aniston's done. (Although Aniston recently sold two Manhattan apartments, she and Theroux, 40, have snapped up a $21 million home in L.A.'s posh Bel Air enclave, and have been in the process of redecorating.)
"Jen's totally happy with Justin," says the pal. "That's all in the past."
