Boobs, plastic surgery, and virginity — what didn't Katy Perry talk about in her latest cover story? In the February 2014 issue of GQ, the 29-year-old Grammy nominee opened up even more about body image, when she lost her V card, and life with boyfriend John Mayer. But first, she dished about her very famous assets.
"I lay on my back one night and looked down at my feet, and I prayed to God. I said, 'God, will you please let me have boobs so big that I can't see my feet when I'm lying down?'" she tells GQ of wanting big breasts early in life. At age 11, "God answered my prayers," she said. "I had no clue they would fall into my armpits eventually."
The "Dark Horse" singer may have an enviable figure and pretty face, but swears she's never gone under the knife. "I've never had any plastic surgery," she reveals. "Not a nose, not a chin, not a cheek, not a tit. So my messages of self-empowerment are truly coming from an au natural product."
Perry was also happy to delve into her talked-about love life, past and present. The "Unconditionally" star divorced from comedian Russell Brand in 2011 after tying the knot in October 2010. (She revealed last June he told her he was divorcing her through a text message.) But now, Perry's personal life seems more bright, as she's been dating beau Mayer, 36, for 18 months (including a three-month break in early 2012.) "I think that I needed to grow up," she says of moving on. "I'm just having a wonderful experience with a wonderful guy. There's no rush."
But just like the couple's collaboration in their music video "Who You Love," Perry isn't shy about expressing her love — or opening up about her sex life. She admitted to GQ that she lost her virginity at the age of 16 while listening to Jeff Buckley's album Grace in the front seat of a Volvo sedan. "Love that record so much," she quips.
