It was a slightly bloody Sunday in NYC's Greenwich Village for Sam Worthington and a paparazzo. The Avatar actor, 37, was arrested for allegedly punching photographer Sheng Li. The Australian star was booked and then released on an assault charge, CNN reports. The altercation is said to have began after Li supposedly kicked Worthington's girlfriend, Lara Bingle, in the shins.
Photographer Li was also arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, assault and harassment.
Worthington, who recently signed on for two more Avatar sequels along with costar Zoe Saldana, was arrested last November in Atlanta following a scuffle with a doorman at restaurant Vortex. The Clash of the Titans star was said to have pushed and used profane language after being refused entry to the establishment. Charges were eventually dropped.
Worthington and Australian model Bingle, 26, have been dating since last September.
