While the world is experiencing another wave of boy bands with One Direction and The Wanted, fans shouldn’t hold their breath in hopes that one of the 90’s hottest groups will make their return.

“It’s just not in the cards,” JC Chasez, one of the original members of ‘N Sync, told The Hollywood Reporter about the possibility of the quintet reuniting. “I’m sure that everybody in my group has been asked at one time or another — I know I get asked, I know the other guys get asked — but we’re happy with what it was and we’re happy to move on.”

The Americas Best Dance Crew judge, 35, isn’t the only “I Want You Back” crooner who has been reminiscing about the good old days. His group mate, Justin Timberlake, who got engaged to his on-again girlfriend Jessica Biel late last year, recently opened up about his signature look of yesteryear.

“There were many moments in my teenage years where I succumbed to, um, the weirdness of the group I was in,” Timberlake, 31, tells the May issue of Details. “And in trying to conform — we’re marionettes! — I ended up looking like a moron.”

While fans of ‘N Sync (which also included Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass) continue to say “Bye Bye Bye” to the singers, fans of ‘N Sync’s industry mates, the Backstreet Boys, have been met with bout after bout of good news recently.

On Monday, BSB’s Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, AJ McLean and Howie Dorough, who have been performing as a foursome, announced that they are welcoming back original member Kevin Richardson, who parted ways with the famous quintet in 2006. The news came right after McLean announced that he and his new wife are expecting their first child together.

In 2011, the Backstreet Boys teamed up with another iconic boy band, New Kids on the Block (Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight and Jonathan Knight), and together they toured under the acronym NKOTBSB.
