Oh, O'Connor!
Sinead O'Connor performed in her hometown of Bray in County Wicklow, Ireland for the first time in five years — and the 44-year-old singer looked nothing like her early-90s self.
Once famous for her shaved bald head, pixie-like figure and penchant for controversy, the "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer debuted a chopped, shoulder-length black hair and glasses, and showed off her fuller figure in a blazer and cropped top that revealed her belly button through sheer fabric.
At Saturday's show, O'Connor lent her incredible voice to guest with reggae singer Natty Wailer.
"I really enjoyed it," O'Connor, wearing a large crucifix, told Ireland's The Independent after the show.
"I've been here in Bray for five years and have always been a bit jealous of bands I've seen here. It's everyone's childhood dream to play on a bandstand," she said.
O'Connor is now a mother of four children. After coming out as a lesbian in 2005, the singer later told Entertainment Weekly, "I'm three-quarters heterosexual, a quarter gay."
On a 2007 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, O'Connor revealed that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2003.
Her last studio album, Theology, was released in 2007.
