Post-Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker feels like she has to be extra-choosy about the parts she signs up for.

"I don't love the idea of playing another woman who loves fashion and is slightly flawed in New York City," Parker, 47, tells ELLE's Women in Hollywood issue (on newsstands October 16).

The offer of a big paycheck to take on another Bradshaw-esque role isn't enough to sway the mom to James, 9, and twins Marion and Tabitha, 3.

"I love Carrie, and I don't want to do the poor man's version of her," Parker explains. "And while those are often the lucrative things to do, it's more reason to look in the other direction."

Since HBO's Sex and the City went off the air in 2004, Parker has reprised her beloved character twice on the big screen, in 2008 and 2010. This fall, she's guest-starring on Glee as an Anna Wintour-like fashion editor, and will appear in Escape from Planet Earth and Married and Cheating in 2013.

One actress, however, is game to fill Carrie Bradshaw's Manolos: AnnaSophia Robb will play a teenage version of the iconic character in The Carrie Diaries, premiering on The CW in January 2013.
