Since learning his wife, Reese Witherspoon, was expecting the couple's first child earlier this year, Jim Toth has been in full-on doting dad mode.
"He's been there for Reese every step of the way," an insider tells Us Weekly about Witherspoon's third pregnancy. (The Oscar winning actress, 36, is already a mom to Ava, 13, and Deacon, 8, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.)
Witherspoon and Toth, who wed in March 2011, welcomed son Tennessee James on September 27. ("The entire family is thrilled," Witherspoon's rep told Us in a statement.)
And although the CAA agent was a bit "nervous" about officially becoming a dad, he's "very excited his son is finally here!" the insider shares.
When it comes to caring for his bundle of joy, he (and Witherspoon) have plenty of help on hand: The Devil's Knot star's mom traveled from Nashville to help out at home just before Tennesse's birth, and the infant's older siblings are also eager to pitch in.
"The kids met the baby the first day at the hospital," a source tells Us. "Deacon is excited to have a brother. And Ava can't wait to babysit!"
Two weeks after giving birth, Witherspoon is already out and about with baby Tennessee by her side; an eyewitness spotted the star lunching at popular Santa Monica eatery Huckleberry with her youngest child last week.
Says the eyewitness, "She seemed very relaxed and happy."
