Bachelorette Emily Maynard's main objective may have been to find Mr. Right on ABC's series, but a source tells Us Weekly the 26-year-old single mom went into the show just as intent on wowing America with her good looks.
As Us Weekly previously reported, Maynard has brand-new breast implants and veneers and likely a nosejob, and a show source confirms she melted down during filming if she couldn't glam up her hot new body to her liking.
"She literally cried," if she was dissatisfied with her on-set hair and makeup, the insider explains.
The flashy high-end dresses and other outfits Maynard appeared in on TV would also frequently be a cause for concern. "Emily would throw a fit if she didn't like her outfit," continues the source. "She'd break out in tears when she was unhappy."
While it remains to be seen if Maynard will accept a proposal from either Sean Lowe, Jef Holm or Arie Luyendyk on The Bachelorette's July 22 finale, one thing is for certain: Maynard plans to stay in the spotlight long after her show wraps.
"She's using The Bachelorette as a stepping stone to be a reporter or host," a show source says of the stay-at-home mom of Ricki, 6, who once hosted an internet race car show.
