Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux may have abandoned plans to live in NYC — but they can't quit the Big Apple cold turkey!
The Wanderlust costars-turned-couple soaked up the best of Manhattan for the first weekend in March.
On Saturday, Aniston, 43, and Theroux, 40, lunched on salads at one of Theroux's old downtown haunts, The Smile. "Tons of people were noticing her," a source tells Us. "She looked really good, and kept putting on chapstick throughout the meal." Ever the gentleman, Theroux picked up the check.
Next on their agenda? Shopping! The sexy duo hit the edgy designer Alexander Wang's shop, where salespeople helped them pick out a few pieces. "She looked absolutely amazing," one witness says of the star, clad in jeans and a cream blazer.
The twosome also stopped by Silver Linings Opticians in Soho, where a "patient" Theroux helped Aniston choose several frames for glasses during an hour-long visit. "She was very happy," an observer says. Among her purchases was a pair of $850 black Persol Ratti sunglasses. That night, they had dinner at Locande Verde, Robert DeNiro's Tribeca eatery, with a pal. Says a witness. "They looked really cozy and comfortable together, like a young couple in love!"
Still, it seems the couple of one year might be done with living in NYC full time. "We tried New York," Aniston said during a Friday interview on Australian radio's The Kyle and Jackie O Show, but "it felt like I was [living] in a fishbowl. It didn't feel like the New York I grew up in and knew."
