Harry, 27, will be spending time in the Golden State plus Arizona for a series of Apache helicopter training courses, his spokesman confirms to Us Weekly. The exact locations and dates of the "spare heir's" visit have yet to be disclosed. Called "Exercise Crimson Eagle," the California and Arizona training features "environmental training, live firing and tactical exercises," the rep explains.

After Harry's training, he'll be a full-fledged Apache pilot — and could be re-deployed to the front lines of Afghanistan.

In June, the Telegraph reported that Harry will likely fly a 40-million pound helicopter in operations against insurgents in Afghanistan in summer 2012. (Apaches are two-man helicopters designed to hunt and destroy tanks.)

Harry was pulled out of service in 2008 after foreign media reports compromised his position. But last year, he said he had a "real determination" to return to service, particularly Afghanistan, adding that his "heart was in the Army.

Added a spokesman for Clarence House in a statement: "Harry is an Army pilot and will deploy wherever the Army chooses to send him. His course finishes in 2012 and after that his deployment will be a matter for the Army chain of command."
