Once the three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 that Prop 8 was in violation of the U.S. Constitution, celebs immediately took to Twitter to react.

"Today we took another step towards equality. #Prop8 was found unconstitutional again. I couldn't be happier," tweeted Ellen DeGeneres, who married partner Portia de Rossi in 2008.
