Though she denies hitting The Real Housewives of D.C. star Michaele Salahi, The View's Whoopi Goldberg admits she did use some "choice words" with the Bravo reality star — but she doesn't feel bad about it.
On Wednesday's show, Salahi was being interviewed by Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd when Goldberg emerged from backstage and touched Salahi on the arm and said, "Excuse me, can we get back to the White House, please?" (Salahi and her husband famously crashed President Obama's first State Dinner last year.)
Afterward, Michaele was very upset," Whoopi explained on The View Thursday. "Then I was told that she thought I hit her. So I went up to her and I told her that she knew I didn't hit her, and yeah, you know how I said it — choice words."
Added Goldberg, "I make no apologies for my choice words."
She said Salahi's husband then "got in my face, had his BlackBerry out and started taking pictures of me. Needless to say, I really went off then — and there were even more choicer words."
As the audience laughed, Goldberg continued, "I mean, they were so choice you could have cut with a knife and eaten them."
In a new Access Hollywood interview, Salahi says she was taken aback by The View cohost's behavior.
She also denied ever saying Goldberg hit her.
"I never said that…so she came in and said ‘Did you say I hit you? F-that … and it was like 'F every other thing, and I'm not used to that," she said. "It's very uncivilized…"
Added her husband, "I said, 'Please don't address my wife and please apologize to my wife … for this abusive language that you're saying to her. She's a guest of the show. She goes 'F' no, and 'F' you."

Said the Bravo star, "It's all silly and unnecessary. No one needs to go on a talk show and have all this kind of craziness. It's crazy."
