There can only be one American Idol per season, but four of this year's semi-finalists have one thing in common: multiple tattoos!

Already marked with body art, Lee DeWyze, Mike Lynche, Crystal Bowersox and Siobhan Magnus (eliminated on Wednesday) took a break from rehearsals last Friday to hit a Hollywood tattoo parlor en masse — and each emerged with fresh ink.

Magnus had the Roman numeral IX (a.k.a. the number 9) emblazoned on her hip. The just-departed singer told the L.A. Times that 9 has proven to be her lucky number: "I was 19 years old when I tried out in 2009 for Season 9 [of 'Idol']…I was 9 years old when I figured out I loved to sing, and I was born in 1990. I could go on and on!"

DeWyze got his right forearm stenciled with a silhouette of the Chicago flag; "that where this all started for me," he told the New York Post.

Lynche, meanwhile, opted for a tattoo on each of his arms: three stars on his left, and the word "Dream" written in cursive on the right. He explained to the Post: "I'm just reaching for the stars, you know? I'm sure all of us want to be stars. It resonates with my spirit."

Frontrunner Bowersox had her wrist decorated with "the classical medical symbol with a syringe down the middle" and the words "Type 1 Diabetic." Bowersox explained that the stamp is easier than wearing a medic ID bracelet or necklace. Plus, she told the New York Post, "There's lots of kids out there with juvenile diabetes who need to take care of themselves, and they need a good role model."
