Taylor Swift is a lover — not a kidnapper.

In the new issue of Rolling Stone, the singer, 22, slams one of the more outrageous stories about her 18-year-old boyfriend Conor Kennedy.

“How did I kidnap him?” snaps Swift, who recently flew in her man (via private jet) to visit her at home in Nashville. “You can’t kidnap a grown man! These are serious accusations, now! It’s an interesting way to spin something into a story,” she says of the high school senior.

Although the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer gets along like gangbusters with most of Conor’s storied political family, she raised the ire of at least one Kennedy, Victoria, when the superstar was an uninvited guest at the August wedding of Kyle Kennedy in Boston.

“I have no idea what happened there,” says Swift, who was publicly slammed by mother of the bride Victoria Kennedy for showing up at the bash last-minute. “I think that story was based on the biggest misunderstanding, ’cause I would never knowingly show up somewhere that I thought I wasn’t invited to . . .And I would never want to upstage anybody.”

Opining to the magazine about her sometimes rocky love life — Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Joe Jonas, anyone? — Swift also explains that she’s not a girl who simply “hooks up.”

“No,” Swift declares. “Where’s the romance? Where’s the magic in that? I’m just not that girl.”

Of her penchant for falling hard and falling fast in love? “The way I look at love is you have to follow it, and fall hard, if you fall hard. You have to forget about what everyone else thinks,” she explains. “It has to be an us-against-the-world mentality. You have to make it work by prioritizing it, and by falling in love really fast, without thinking too hard. If I think too hard about a relationship I’ll talk myself out of it. …I have rules for a lot of areas of my life. Love is not going to be one of them.”
