Usually when it comes to speaking on a celeb’s behalf, his or her rep will step in. But in Wilmer Valderrama‘s case, he had his on-screen Disney cartoon character, Handy Manny, do the talking for him.
On Thursday’s interview with On-Air with Ryan Seacrest, Valderrama conducted part of his interview as Handy Manny, a bilingual handyman who has a show on Disney Junior that the actor has lent his voice to since 2006.
So when the topic came around to him and Minka Kelly hooking up, the That 70’s Show star played things safe with the most diplomatic answer he could give.
“Well Minka Kelly and Wilmer Valderrama have been friends for a long time and that’s all there is to it,” Valderrama coyly answered in a Handy Manny voice, after trying to compose himself from a fit of laughter with hosts Ryan Seacrest and Ellen K.
In the new issue of Us Weekly, on stands now, a source tells Us that the 32-year-old actor, whose most recent ex is Demi Lovato, and the Roommate actress, 31, whose on-again, off-again beau is Derek Jeter, have been spotted around town together.
“They were kissing and grinding” at West Hollywood’s Greystone Manor Supperclub March 18, says an onlooker of the pair.
“I wouldn’t say they’re boyfriend and girlfriend,” adds a pal, “but he’s started ignoring calls from some of his other girls.”
