Country's best and brightest came out in full force Wednesday in Nashville to honor the industry's top performers, including Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert, who took home Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year respectively.
"This song means so much to me and to my husband and to our family," Blake Shelton's emotional wife, 28, said when accepting her award for the song she wrote with Shelton about his late brother. "I just want to thank Blake's brother, Richie, in heaven for inspiring us to write this song."
Underwood, 29, was the night's only multiple winner, taking home the night's top honor — Video of the Year — as well as a trophy for her duet with Brad Paisley, "Remind Me."
Giving Underwood's husband, Mike Fisher, a bear hug when their names were announced, Paisley raved about his video's leading lady on stage. "I'd like to thank this beautiful woman for being in the video. Otherwise, it's just a dork walking through the desert," Paisley, 39, joked.
