Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris and Jake M. Johnson arrives at the 2012 Do Something Awards.

The guys from New Girl aren't too nervous about co-hosting the Do Something! Awards August 19.

"It's going to be a lot of fun. I'm excited for it," Jake Johnson, 34, told Us Weekly at Siren Studios in Hollywood July 30. "I’m excited about it because it's a nice thing to do an awards show where people who have done good things in the world get recognized and get to be on stage and get to make speeches."

"I'm kind of new to what kind of happens with this," Johnson added. "I really believed it was in front of 200 people and I just found out it's in front of 1,500 people!"

"By the way, it's going to be televised, so it's going to be in front of the world," Johnson's costar, Max Greenfield, 31, reminded him.

Though they've never hosted an awards show as a trio, "It's hard to say no to something like this," Greenfield explained.

The actors will be joined by fellow New Girl star Lamorne Morris, 29, who was careful not to spill any show secrets before the big night. "I'll just say: I don't know how to swim. That's all I will say," Morris told Us. "That's your teaser."

The Do Something! Awards airs August 21 at 9 p.m. EST on VH1. Celebrity presenters include Kristen Bell, Olivia Munn, Will Ferrell and Harry Shum, Jr.
