Let's get loud in the Crimea!
Us Weekly has some of the very first photos of Jennifer Lopez's reportedly $1 million gig singing at a private wedding in the Republic of Crimea in Ukraine.
On Tuesday, just four days after announcing the end of her seven-year marriage to Marc Anthony, the 41-year-old star dazzled 500 guests at the nuptials of the son of Azam Aslamov, a Uzbek oil tycooon.
Changing in and out of several sexy, sparkly costumes during her high-energy set, with a full team of backup dancers, the newly single star sang and danced to big hits like "Waiting for Tonight," "Let's Get Loud" and her latest, "On the Floor."
"Are you happy?" Lopez asked onstage. "I am happy because I am here with you today!"
Pals close to the singer, actress, designer and American Idol judge tell the new Us Weekly that she's trying to make the most of her painful split from Anthony, 42.
"He was a terrible husband," one insider says of the Latin crooner, who tried to exert control over Lopez's career decisions and even her wardrobe. "He liked her to dress in a demure, 'wife' style," another pal says. "He hated the fact that she was a sex symbol."
Now that she's finally on her own, "[Jen] is jumping back into work and being a mom [to twins Max and Emme, 3] with all her energy and she is really excited," says another friend. "She feels like she has grown leaps and bounds and is a new person now, better than ever!"
