Mason's poor little ears!
Signing on to cohost FOX's X Factor alongside Mario Lopez in October, Khloe Kardashian says it was utter "chaos" when the reality star received the call that she was hired to help emcee the series.
Visiting sisters Kim and Kourtney in Miami while they filmed their E! spinoff, Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Khloe, 28, tells E! News she couldn't help but be overjoyed with her latest career move.
"I was screaming in the car! Everyone was screaming it was kind of chaos," she revealed. "[Kourtney's son] Mason was there, he had no idea what was happening. He was screaming, and he was just imitating anything we were doing. It was really funny."
Once Khloe regained her bearings and returned to her Los Angeles home base, she enjoyed a much more adult celebration with husband of three years Lamar Odom. "Lamar had champagne waiting for me, and we just celebrated him and I," the reality star — who wed the NBA player in 2009 — said.
As she prepares to make her official X Factor debut on Oct. 31 when the top 16 contestants perform live for the first time, the veteran reality star admits she has a few pre-show jitters. One of her major concerns? Appeasing the network's standards and practices department.
"I'm so nervous — I've never hosted before!" she recently told KIIS-FM's Ryan Seacrest, adding that her fears are amplified by the live aspect of the telecast. "What if I get kicked off the show because I say something so bad? That's what I'm nervous about, but I can't be anybody else but myself. I just have to control the language a little bit."
