Hair-raising drama for Giuliana!
E! News anchor and new mom Giuliana Rancic strives to always look her best during red carpet appearances, but as a new clip from STYLE’s Giuliana & Bill shows, Rancic nearly had a beauty breakdown when prepping for the 2012 Miss USA pageant’s red carpet.
Racing against the clock with just 15 minutes to get ready for the event, Rancic — who cohosted the Las Vegas-set show with Andy Cohen in June — struggled to fit in her hair and makeup glam session and a last-minute dress tailoring.
As time ticks away, Rancic’s hair stylist argues that she has too many clip-in pieces added to her ‘do, and frantically tries to remove them in time for her to make the carpet. “I’m not feeling my hair tonight and my hair has got to be perfect,” Rancic, 37, says in this episode preview clip. “The hair is everything.”
Just making her appearance with minutes to spare, Rancic — who welcomed son Edward Duke with husband Bill via surrogate in August — says she now sympathizes with the fashion and beauty prep supermodels endure.
“I am running late as usual, I’m having problems with my hair. I had my dress tailored but I haven’t had time to try it on. It’s crazy,” admits Rancic. “Now I know how Gisele [Bundchen] feels!”
