Angelea Preston — one of the most well-known contestants in America’s Next Top Model history — welcomed a baby boy with her husband, Eric Brown, on August 26 at 1:51 a.m. at New York Hospital in Queens, New York, Preston’s rep tells Us Weekly exclusively.
Weighing 8 pounds, 7 ounces, Eric Bueno Brown, Jr., “arrived right on time,” Preston’s rep says. “Angelea, Eric and Eric, Jr. are doing great! Right now Angelea is on super mother mode, tending every minute to her beautiful newborn son! She’s ecstatic and cries happy tears because she can’t believe he’s here.”
Preston, whose surprise disqualification from America’s Next Top Model: All Stars made headlines, first shared news of her pregnancy and marriage with Us in May, three months after they tie the knot in New York City.
“I feel like Eric is more than just my partner — I feel like he’s my best friend. He’s someone I can depend on,” Preston, 26, told Us. “I just love him and he’s just so sexy to me . . . But it’s so much more than the physical; we have a deeper connection, and I really love that.”
Brown, 37, has children from a previous relationship. “He is a great father to his kids,” Preston raved.
This wasn’t Preston’s first pregnancy. As fans of America’s Next Top Model know, her daughter, Giavonna Anchell, was born three months premature on November 3, 2003. Sadly, her daughter died 23 days later.
With Eric, Jr.’s birth, “She’s been given another opportunity to be a mother,” Preston’s rep tells Us. “She is also ready to get back to work to see what challenges lie ahead being a mother, model and actress! The happy parents thank you for your warm wishes!”
