5 Reasons to Watch… Anderson

Anderson Cooper is branching out with his new daytime talk show, Anderson (premiering September 12; check your local listings). One thing the 44-year-old isn't quite ready for?

"Ellen [DeGeneres] has been trying to get me to dance for a long time on television," the esteemed CNN journalist told Us Weekly August 30. "I'm not sure anyone really wants to see a skinny, gray-haired, middle-aged guy running around on stage dancing, but you never know."

Though Cooper will interview A-list celebs like Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Jessica Parker and Daniel Radcliffe, he assures Us "it's not just about them pitching a movie or telling us something that we've heard before. It's about having a real conversation."

Cooper, who will continue to anchor CNN's nightly news program Anderson Cooper 360°, says he's excited to begin the next chapter of his career.
