The drama never ends in Hotlanta. Just as the most intense season ever of Real Housewives of Atlanta winds down (part three of the knock-down reunion airs this Sunday), series vet Kandi Burruss is gearing up for her own limited-run spinoff: Her April 4 wedding to Todd Tucker!
Us Weekly has the first look at The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi’s Wedding, which premieres on Bravo Sunday, June 1 at 8 p.m. EST. As Burruss and her man race to put the finishing touches on their over-the-top bash (hint: it’s inspired by Coming to America!), there are multiple external factors making the blessed day more stressful than usual.
For starters, there’s Burruss’ notoriously opinionated Mama Joyce, whose disapproval for Todd was a painful sticking point thoughout season six. What happens when Todd’s own mother joins the fray? What about Kandi’s best friend Carmen, the victim of a rumor planted by Joyce? And what role will a small-person stripper—and a lion—have to do with the wedding day?!
