Nick Cannon is on the mend after enduring kidney failure and two blood clots in his lungs, and he's ready to share his road to recovery with fans online.
Launching Nick Cannon's N'Credible Health Hustle on his personal Website Monday, Mariah Carey's husband, 31, will detail his health "setbacks and triumphs" in a weekly web series.
"Words can't express how grateful and humbled I was by the outpouring of support when I fell ill a few months ago. I realized there was no way I could fully return all the love that was — and is still — shown, but it doesn't mean I can't give it a try," Cannon — who takes viewers inside his hospital treatments and meetings with doctors in episode 1 — explained to Us Weekly in a statement. "[I'm] hoping this series serves as inspiration for anyone dealing with kidney disease, lupus or any illness to keep pushing as well."
In March, the father of twins Moroccan and Monroe announced he was stepping down from his daily radio show as he recovered from what he deemed a lupus-type autoimmune disease.
"I never thought anything could slow me down, but sometimes life throws you curve balls and you have to adjust," Cannon said. "Having discovered the problem early on, I was able to undergo immediate and aggressive medical treatment and through the support of my loving family I'm now on a successful road to recovery."
