What has two thumbs and didn't like The Office finale?

The comedian, who created the original British version of the show in 2001, had a small guest spot on Thursday's finale. Even so, the 49-year-old made it clear that he "would never in a million years take a permanent role in the [U.S. version of the] show as an actor."
Gervais wasn't the only celeb to make an appearance in the finale. Will Arnett, Ray Romano, Jim Carrey, James Spader and even real-life finance mogul Warren Buffett dropped by Dunder Mifflin.
In his blog post about the finale, Gervais wrote: "If you're going to jump a shark, jump a big one." ("Jumping the shark" is a phrase used to describe when something that was once immensely popular has passed its prime.)
"Still we've had good innings. Ha ha," Gervais clarified.
"I assume most people know I didn't do the U.S. remake for the art," he wrote. "I did my version for the art. That's why I stopped after a few hours of telly." (The British version of The Office only aired fourteen episodes; the U.S. version just wrapped its seventh season.)
"Anyway, as you may know there's been 10 years of The Office in some way or another," he added. "Can't wait to start work on the Chinese version."
