Rumor has it Adele's got some new tunes in the works.

Speaking to French radio station NRJ Monday, the six-time Grammy winner confirmed she plans to release a new single in 2012–although she says it will be at least two years before another full-length album hits shelves.

Citing the two-year period between the release of her first CD, 19, and 21, Adele opened up about her approach to recording. "I have to take time and live a little bit," she told the station's host. "It'll be the same this time."

Added the "Someone Like You" songstress, 23, "If I didn't write my own songs, I'd be out next week with a new album."

Despite 21's massive success (the album has sold over 20 million copies worldwide), the ever-modest Brit is keeping her expectations low for any future releases.

"I don't think I'll feel the pressure for the next album to be as big as the last one, because I know that's not really possible," Adele told NRJ. "What happened with [21] is very rare anyway."

Though plans for a new record are very much up in the air, Adele has already thought about some potential collaborators. Her dream duet? With the Queen Bey herself.

"I adore Beyonce," the pop star admitted. "I've been listening to her since I was about 11. I think her work as an artist and a singer is enviable in terms of the length of her career and how she's grown and grown."

Currently, Adele is dating non-profit director Simon Konecki. The beloved artist caused a stir earlier this year when told Vogue magazine she hoped to take a "four or five year" break from show biz. "If I am constantly working, my relationships fail," she confessed to the mag. "So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy."

Post-Grammys, however, the ecstatic singer quickly changed her tune. "I've a few days off now, and then it's the Brit Awards here at home and then I'm straight into the studio," she wrote on her blog. "BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!"
