Bieber Fever sent teenage girls to the hospital!

According to TMZ, Justin Bieber‘s free concert in Oslo, Norway on Wednesday caused a near state of emergency when teenage girls mobbed the streets to see Bieber perform.

TMZ reports 49 teenage girls were injured and 14 were taken for emergency care. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. Mayor Fabian Stang, however, is taking the matter very seriously and said, “I have already called on the Emergency Planning Agency to examine the entire event from the planning stage to its implementation. We have to find out what went wrong and why it happened.”

Bieber, 18, warned his Beliebers on Twitter to follow orders by the police so he could continue his show. “Norway – please listen to the police. I dont want anyone getting hurt,” he tweeted. “I want everything to go to plan but your safety must come first.”

“Here are the details at 9:20 tonight I’m going to do a free show for you the fans at the Opera House here in Oslo,” he added. “The show is part of my Around The World TV special and I will be doing 6 songs, 4 new, 2 old before I leave. But for the show to happen you must all listen to the police. We are all concerned for your safety and I want what is best for you. Please listen.”

The heartthrob is set to premiere a one-hour TV special on NBC titled “Justin Bieber: All Around the World” on June 21 at 8 p.m. EST.
