Does absence really make the heart grow fonder?
Not in the case of Teen Mom 2's Kailyn Lowry, who continues to bicker with her ex, Jonathan "Jo" Rivera, the father of her 12-month-old son, Isaac.
On Tuesday's all-new episode, the pair — who still live together with Rivera's parents — fight over tending to shared parenting duties like laundry and cleaning their son's room.
Things get especially tense when Rivera whines to Lowry about not pulling her weight around the house. (Watch an exclusive clip above)
For Jo's parents Eddie and Janet — who welcomed Lowry into their home and family once she got pregnant — it's the final straw.
"The last thing I want is to be coming home at night listening to this bickering every day. We have to come to an agreement and get it settled," Janet snipes. "The both of you have to help out."
Lowry — who is currently dating her sporting goods store coworker Jordan Wenner — admits her relationship with her baby's dad has long been off-track.
"Our relationship was really immature, and I don't think either of us knew what we wanted. We tried to make things work, but I held a grudge against him for going out all the time when I was pregnant," Lowry tells UsMagazine.com. "He blames me for us not being together, but I think it's just so many reasons. He's a good dad, though. He is patient with Isaac."
The ultimate payoff for the teen mom? "I love waking up to a smiling baby and knowing I'm doing the best I can to raise him," she says.
Teen Mom 2 airs Tuesday at 10 p.m. (EST) on MTV.
