Lynette Scavo may not get her happy ending after all.
In a sneak peek from the series finale of ABC’s Desperate Housewives, Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria) helps her neighbor Lynette (Felicity Huffman) prep for what she hopes will be magical evening with her estranged husband, Tom Scavo (Doug Savant).
“You’re finally getting back together,” Gabrielle says while applying her friend’s makeup. “You’ve got to look perfect.”
Before they can finishing prepping, Tom unexpectedly shows up outside Lynette’s home. After instructing Gabby to hide, Lynette greets her husband at the door. “You’re here early,” she smiles.
Lynette then invites Tom in for a drink, which he politely refuses. Sensing something’s wrong, Lynette decides to ask her husband what’s troubling him.
“I’m filing divorce papers tomorrow,” he tells her.
